We are living in dark times. We are facing a health crisis, nationwide financial recovery, racial injustice and social unrest, and a lack of global leadership. But take heart and be encouraged! Though darkness may surround us, we are not consumed by it, nor do we have to fear. We follow Christ! And since we follow Christ, we don’t have to walk in the darkness. Because of Jesus, we have the light that leads to life.

You aren’t what’s happening around you. You aren’t unemployment, a crashing stock market, or a pandemic. You are the light of the world. You have a light that leads to life. You don’t have to dwell in the darkness. You don’t have to give in or give up because of what’s happening on the outside of you. There’s something great on the inside of you – a light inside you that leads to life. Live it! You are God’s masterpiece created in Christ Jesus. There is no darkness in you. Let some of your light out to bring life back into your situation and the world around you.
