“The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.”
Sometimes we can put a lot of responsibility on the ones we love. We think it’s their job to make us happy, complete us and always be there for us. God has blessed us with great family members and good friends, but when you really think about it, that’s a lot to ask from a person. And people can’t always be there when we need them or are in trouble. People aren’t responsible for our happiness. True happiness can only be found within ourselves and when we have a personal relationship with Christ, it’s that much easier.

Let’s face it. Your family has to make time for you when you’re in need. Your friends may have to juggle their schedules around to make time for you when you’re in trouble. And that’s OK. They love you and are doing the best they can to help. But in your time of trouble, you need to call on someone who makes time for you day or night. Jesus. You can never ask too much of God. You can always rely on Him to hear you and rescue you from all your trouble. Don’t place your burdens on people. Place them at the feet of the Father who can replace your trouble with joy, peace and rest. Make time to call Jesus for help and allow Him to rescue you.
