Wiser Than The Enemy

Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.
— PSALM 119:98 (NIV)

Ahh! Cartoons aren’t what they used to be. Looney Tunes, the G.O.A.T. among cartoons, had two characters known as Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. The coyote was the sworn enemy of the Road Runner. Wile E. Coyote tried every trick and trap he could to capture the Road Runner, but he always failed miserably. It was as if the Road Runner new what the coyote was planning to do before he unleashed his dastardly plan. The Road Runner made the impossible possible by defying gravity, diffusing ACME bombs, and so much more. The Road Runner’s survival was solely based on being wiser than his enemy.

You too have a Wile E. Coyote on your tracks. He’s planning every trick and trap He knows against you right now. Unfortunately, your coyote isn’t a fictitious cartoon character. No, my friend. Your enemy is very real, but the good thing is, through God’s commands, you are made wiser than your enemy, Satan, and you know his dastardly plan to steal, kill, and destroy before he unleashes it. You don’t have to fall victim to his tricks and traps because Christ has given you the way to escape. You can make the impossible possible through prayer, your obedience to Christ’s commands, and faith in God’s Word. Remember, you don’t have to wrestle against flesh and blood. Always keep His commands with you and you will prove to be wiser than the enemy.
