Blind Trust

LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in You.
— PSALM 84:12 (NIV)

A company I worked for sent us on a team building event. We did several team exercises, one being a trust fall. A trust fall is often conducted as a group exercise in which a person deliberately allows themselves to fall, relying on the other members of the group to catch the person.  I stood on an elevated platform, blindfolded, and had to rely on my co-workers to catch me. Now, keep in mind, I had just started working for this company and didn’t really know any of them, but I still did it. I didn’t think they’d drop me and it was a blessing they didn’t. Imagine the blessing that comes along from trusting God!

When you blindly trust God, you make yourself available for His blessings. You won’t always be able to see the next step, but God wants you to trust Him enough to take the first step. Believe and have faith that in Him He will never allow you to fall. No matter the obstacle and no matter your perceived capability. No matter who says you can’t or who says you never will. Keep your trust in God and trust Him to bless you according to his riches and glory. He’ll never let you fall, so close your eyes and let go.

He hasn’t failed you yet
