“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
The enemy’s goal and mission is to steal, kill, and destroy everything God has blessed you with. In order to achieve this devilish scheme, he will recruit some humans to launch spiritual war against you. He will send his spirit through people to insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you, but instead of thinking you’ve done something wrong, or the world is against you, know that God is for you and you’re in good company.
Just know, people are always going to talk about you whatever you do, and since you can’t please everyone all the time, you might as well focus on pleasing Jesus and let Him sort out the rest. Scripture says you are blessed when people rise against you as you follow God’s plan. So one, follow God’s plan, two, expect God’s blessings, and three, expect people to be people. They persecuted the prophets, so it’s likely they’ll persecute you too. And just like God loved, protected, and blessed the prophets before you, so will He bless you. So, when haters start hating, remember, you’re in good company and keep living for Christ!
