Everyone likes to stay fresh. After working out, we take showers. After gardening, we wash up. After a long day at school or on the job, we may soak for hours! We take extra care to physically remove dirt, germs, and filth from our bodies, but what about when we need to freshen up spiritually and mentally?
You have moral filth and evil around you daily, but Jesus has given you the words that can wash you clean and save you! His word is planted inside you so the Holy Spirit can bring them to your remembrance in any given situation. When your money is funny, don’t have a pity party, but remember He gave you the power to get wealth. Before you give in to watching porn, remember Christ made you more than a conqueror. When tempted to post inappropriate pictures of yourself, remember you are beautifully and wonderfully made. Remove the filth and evil around you by soaking spiritually and mentally in His word. Humbly accept God’s Word that is planted in you and will save you.
