Stand the Test of Time

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.
— ISAIAH 40:8 (NIV)

God blesses us because He loves us and wants to make life enjoyable while we are on fulfilling our purposes on earth.  When we seek His kingdom first, and His righteousness, He will add blessings to our lives. You may have a good job, nice house, or many credentials behind your last name, but the reason you have these things is because God equipped you to obtain them. And while we enjoy the things God has blessed us with, we must remember; they won’t endure forever.

In all you have, and in all you do, make sure God comes first. Not only will doing so bless you, but it will also help you prioritize what’s important. What you touch, feel, see, and taste are temporary and will lose its value, but God’s Word will stand the test of time. That means whatever God promised you cannot be compromised by your enemies. It means no matter what withers or falls around you, God’s love for you will always be there seeing you through. Find a scripture today that speaks to you and meditate on it all day. As you meditate, watch His Word manifest in your life. You’ll find that God is faithful and His promises endure forever.

Heavenly Father, though the grass withers and the flowers fall, I know Your Word will endure forever. Thank You for every precious promise You’ve planned for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
