Delivered From Trouble

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
— PSALM 34:19 (NIV)

Being saved doesn’t mean you won’t face hard times. It doesn’t mean you’re exempt from experiencing trouble. Scripture tells us we will have many troubling times, but that’s not the end of the verse. When trouble gets in our way, we can rejoice knowing the Lord will deliver us from them all.

If it weren’t for hard times, we wouldn’t appreciate the good times. When you’re faced with the discomfort of adversity, remember that God renews His mercies for you every day. He promised your weeping would only last for a night and His joy is waiting for you in the morning. Christ wants to bless you 100 hundredfold in this time, but understand with the blessings comes persecution. Know that in God’s hand, your troubles can’t kill you, but only make you stronger. Consider that your present troubles are not worth comparing with the glory that God will reveal in you. When trouble comes your way, don’t forget you have a Savior that has made you more than a conqueror and He is preparing you for greatness.

This too shall pass
