“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
We’ve all experienced hardship and rough times in life. You know. Those times when you have to lift your hands to the heavens and ask, “Why me, God?” or “What did I do to deserve this?” Whatever God is allowing us to face today, it’s to get us where He wants us to be tomorrow.
God is able to give life to areas that are dying in your life. Your health may not be what it was last year. Your income may be going out faster than it’s coming in. Your marriage could be failing. Your relationship with your children may not be how you’d ever imagined. Your job may be frustrating. Your car may not start. Your friends may be gone. Yet in all of this, you still have the strength to rejoice in the Lord! No one can take away the joy you have in your God and Savior. All you need is wrapped up in your praise to God. Have faith that He will supply all your needs.
