That's Not Me

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.
— Galatians 3:26 (NIV)

I want to share with you that you are not defined by what others call you. If you’re like me, you’ve been called many things in life. Some I agree with, and some I reject. Sure, you’ve done things you’re not proud of, but you’re still a child of God. Whatever you’ve done that you aren’t proud of doesn’t necessarily mean that’s “who” you are, but rather “where” you are. And where you are today isn’t where you have to be tomorrow. Make the choice today to learn what being a child of God really means. Take the time needed and be patient while learning who God says you are. (After all, it took time to master the art of lying, cheating, and stealing, so why should learning God’s way be any different?) You’ll discover what you are not, once you learn who you are. You are an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus. And if anyone calls you anything other than that, smile and say, “That’s not me.”

I know who’s I am
