“…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Do your neighbors know you’re saved? What about your co-workers? You shouldn’t have to tote your bible around or wear your “I Know Jesus. Do You?” t-shirt every day for them to know – although, it probably wouldn’t hurt. Confessing Jesus as Lord confirms that you’ve relinquished control of your life to Him and have chosen to follow Christ. On the day you chose to be His follower, you accepted your mission to love God, love others, and make disciples. Sounds like a lot, but don’t let it overwhelm you. Jesus said, “His yoke is easy and His burden is light.” The more you study His word and seek Him through prayer, the more He’ll guide your every step on this mission. As you grow in accomplishing God’s mission, your neighbors and co-workers will witness your salvation through your lifestyle and choices. And to think, it all started with your confession.
