A Savior's Prayer

Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
— JOHN 17:25 -26 (NIV)

I love to hear my mother pray. When she visits, I often pass up the “head of household” tradition of praying just so we can be blessed by her. Her prayers are filled with so much love and you can hear the loving relationship she has with God. When she asks for our blessings, I believe God will do it just because she asked. So, if this much love and confidence can be in an earthly prayer, imagine the feeling of knowing Jesus is praying for me too.

Jesus prays on your behalf that you will receive all that He has from the Father.  He prays that you experience the same love that God has for Him. You don’t have to use your prayer time asking for things you may need. Everything you need is already coming your way. Instead, use your prayer time to thank Jesus for all He’s done and to pray for others. You’ll feel a change in your life and a love never felt.

I just want to thank You

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for loving me like You love Your only begotten Son. Thank You for Your renewed mercies and Your many blessings. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
