With the many ways information is available today, we can become well aware of the conditions in our world. Terrorist attacks in other countries, or local injustices in our own communities are broadcast to us daily. Unemployment, teen pregnancy, homelessness—and everyone is looking to someone else for the answer.
“What’s the President doing about it?”
“Where are our community leaders?”
“We need a miracle!”
I couldn’t agree more! We do need a miracle. What better way to witness a miracle but through the works of your hands? Instead of waiting for a miracle, be the miracle. Jesus performed many miracles to heal people or change situations. He said that if you believed in His works then you too would perform miracles—even greater miracles!
Next time you are faced with a problem in your family, on your job, or in your community, remember Jesus gave you the power to change circumstances and the power to heal. Don’t wait for a miracle.
