Get Right with Him

For he chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
— Ephesians 1:4 (NIV)

Some people will never allow you to forget your past mistakes. Others may judge you based on the neighborhood you grew up in, while some judge you off the latest gossip. These types of people will always find something about you to disapprove of, but they forget that God still chose you.

Often times people will judge you in the present by your past because they can’t see your future. Don’t lose sight of the plan that God has for you. We all mess up by doing or saying things we should not have, but that’s not the end of your story. God still wants you. Remember that God chose you before He created the world. He made you to be holy and blameless in His sight. While it is important to live as a righteous example for others, make sure your priority is getting right with God first. He’s capable of working out the rest.

I am what You see

Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me before the creation of the world. You see me as holy and blameless in Your sight. Help me to become what You see. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
