Nothing went smooth and fast during my shopping experience yesterday. I stopped at Lowe’s where they had one cashier and too many customers. Costco’s line to get my receipt marked was moving slowly and the cashier at Meijer couldn’t talk and scan at the same time. Normally I’d be stressed and full of complaints, but I remained calm and kept a smile. At my last stop to Target, I stopped at the Starbuck’s inside. It took forever to place my order. I thought, “OK! That does it!” But wouldn’t you know, because the cashier recognized how long I waited, she said, “This is on us! Have a nice day.”

I shared my experience to encourage you to keep doing the right thing. You’re that much closer to receiving your blessing. Don’t let what’s happening around you change your spirit, steal your joy or cause you to be disobedient to God’s Word. Remember who’s you are and know that your blessing is around the corner. You may have to endure some things you’d rather not, but in the end, it’s all worth it. Don’t get tired doing what is good. At just the right time you will receive your blessing if you wait for it.
