The Struggle Is Real

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.
— JOHN 15:5 (NIV)

Life can be both hard and difficult. We face the unknown daily and get pushed to our limits often. Stress at work. Loss of a loved one. Disappointments. Exhaustion. Patience. The struggle is real. But God didn’t create us to fall victim to all these outside elements of mental anguish and pain. No! He put something on the inside of us to combat and overcome the struggle. Jesus.

The next time you feel yourself struggling with something, no matter what it is, relationships, money, stress, work, whatever, ask yourself is Christ at the center? Are you connected to Him in the middle of your calamity? Because while your struggle may be real, it’s not more real than the vine you are connected to. When you remain connected to the vine, Jesus, there’s nothing you cannot do, overcome, will into submission, defeat and triumph through and over. In the middle of your struggle, call on the name of Jesus. He will guide you through your struggle and give you rest.

Heavenly Father, You are the vine, I am the branch. I will remain in You and bear much fruit. Apart from You I can do nothing, but connected to You, I can do all things. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
