God wants you to love Him. He doesn’t care where you work, what your zip code is or what you wear to church. He just wants you to give Him your best; your love. Now, back in the day, people did dress up to attend Sunday service as a gesture in giving God their best. Thus the saying, “Put on your Sundays best.” Now that we know better, we can do better. Today, we know God doesn’t want meaningless offerings.

God doesn’t just want your obedience out of obligation, your tithes grudgingly or you at church every time the doors are opened. He knows those things come freely from your heart when you love Him. When you love God, it’s a privilege to be obedient to Him, it’s part of your worship when you tithe and give offering. When you love God, you put no other gods before Him and give Him all of your devotion. Give God your best today by loving Him, thanking Him and making the sacrifice to live for Him. Make sure He’s not on your schedule, but He is your schedule.
