Go With What You Know

All my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me… I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth.
— JOB 19:19 – 25 (NIV)

Someone once said, “You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.” But what about when being strong doesn’t feel good? What about when your best friend or loved one turns against you? What about when you’re not feeling "you" and cry throughout the day never knowing why? What about when you’re tired of always having to be the strong one? What about when you’re not sure what tomorrow will bring?

The truth is… you don’t know. You don’t know who’s going to betray you next. You don’t know if tomorrow is going to be more of the same. You can’t control what you can’t control. Instead of stressing yourself over the unknowns or known negatives, go with what you know! And what you know is that your Redeemer, Jesus Christ, lives! He lives in you. There is no suffering in Christ. There is no lack in Christ. There is no losing in Christ. There’s only safety, love, power, prosperity, and peace. If things are falling apart, reach for the part that never falls or fails. You have a Redeemer who loves you and knows your every need.

This, I know…

Heavenly Father, You are my Redeemer and I know You live in me. In You are love, my safety, my power, my prosperity, and my peace. When all else falls, I know You will stand. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
